Title: Lengthening and Deformity Correction of Leg in Patient with Fibrous Dysplasia

Preop:
Nicole had a long standing varus/procurvatum oblique plane deformity of almost 90 degrees associated with a large leg length discrepancy. Nicole had difficulty walking as well as back, hip and ankle pain
Postop:
Surgery was osteotomy and application of an Ilizarov/Spatial Frame to match the deformity. Gradual correction was started and after about 2 months, the leg was straight and equal in length. She was able to walk in the frame as the bone got stronger. Outcome:
With equal leg lengths and a straight leg, Nicole walks well and has an active and mobile lifestyle. Nicole now walks well and leads an active life. Equal leg length and straight leg
